Lots of things going on ...

Last week Nate played in his first two T-Ball games and had a lot of fun! The kiddos are fun to watch, by the end of the second game at least 3 of them were sitting on the ground in the outfield.

Last Friday was "park day" at school when all of the 42 kids at his little school went to the local park to play games and eat Sonic for lunch. Zac and I went too. It was fun to watch everyone. Nate had to stick up for his little brother a couple of times. Some of the older boys started picking on Zac but he just spit on them and they left him alone! We had a talk about spitting. They both had a great time.

Nate's big adventure was last weekend. He went on his first backpacking trip with his daddy. They went on an overnight trip to Albert Pike near Crooked Creek and the Little Missouri River. They hiked in about a mile and 3/4 (Nate carrying his backpack full of clothes and daddy carrying the rest) . After setting up camp and collecting sticks for the fire, the feasted on hot dogs and smores! Nate had the best time sitting around the campfire with his daddy asking a million questions. Tim taught him how to filter water from a creek for drinking. Nate slept all night and is ready for his next backpacking trip. Meanwhile, my little man stayed home with me and kept saying "Zachy camp"! He also wanted to ride the tractor but I do not know how to drive it so needless to say he was happy to have his daddy and bubba return. This weekend we hope to take Zac on his first camping trip across the road. Will keep you posted.

Had a doctor's appointment yesterday and everything looks as it should. One of these days I'll get around to taking a picture of the every growing tummy! It is hard to believe that I am in my 19th week!

Big Events

One big event was Nate's first T-Ball game! He was so cute in his little uniform. His team is named the "Tractors"! It was so funny to watch. Nate did great. I think every kiddo made it to home base and many of the "strike outs" were ignored. Clearly this season is about fun and learning the basics. I had to tell Nate not to be so chatty in the outfield as his buddy Jayden was very close by! Nate made a couple of runs and caught a grounder throwing it to 1st base to get out a runner! Of course it rained on our first game but the boys kept playing and having fun while we cheered from under our umbrellas!

Well last Saturday, we had our family birthday party for the boys to celebrate Nate being 4 and Zac being 2! It was a "CARS" party complete with bounce house and pinata! It was a very small affair this year but just as fun! The crazy thing was it was sooooo COLD! We had to bundle the boys up to play outside! Crazy weather!

The last event that I will mention was the very nice "going away" picnic that we attended today for Tim. For those of you who don't know, he is no longer serving the Forest Service in his old capacity, head of the Recreation program for the Womble and Caddo districts on the Ouachita National Forest.... he is now working out of Hot Springs for the FS as the head of the Recreation Program for the entire Ouachita Natl. Forest. We are very proud of him and know that he will continue doing a fabulous job for the FS! More soon. KMO

Here Goes...

Well, I'm going to attempt to try this blog thing. I so enjoy reading two of my friends' blogs and I'm hoping that you all will enjoy checking this from time to time.

Not too much to report. I'm now 17 weeks pregnant and definitely showing (big belly)! Guess that is just part of it... you would think that after two it would not be so shocking ... but it still continues to amaze me.

It has been very cold here following weeks of beautiful warm weather. Above are a few of pics of the boys on their fishing trip on the Caddo. I think it was Zac's first "fishing" trip as well as a couple of other float pictures.
