Round 3: MORE OF THE WHITE STUFF!

Well considering we were predicted to get between 8 and 10 inches of snow... we were kind of bummed when we only got 4.5 inches! However, this Oosterhous crew enjoys whatever we get. Most of it went to the north of us and our friends in NW Arkansas got nearly 2 feet of snow! WOW! INCREDIBLE! Tim was snowed in with us and once again, we enjoyed some sledding, snowboarding, snow wrestling... and some good old fashioned family time topped off with some hot chocolate!!

GO'IN TO THE CHAPEL.....

Well Josh did it, he finally met his match, made the next big step, took the plunge, whatever you want to call it... he got married to the beautiful Ashleigh Green (whom we all LOVE)! In between the two snowstorms Josh and Ashleigh got married in Little Rock! It was a wonderful weekend full of lots of fun, food, and craziness (anytime you have 3 boys at a wedding it is CRAZY)! It is a wonderful and special time when I get to see and spend time with my whole family!
The rehearsal dinner was perfect and we all had a wonderful time. It was extra special because the dinner was at the Arkansas Arts Museum, which is where Tim and I had part of our first date nearly 15 years ago! So crazy to think we will have been together 15 years in April.... seriously, where does time go!

The next day was the wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and Ashleigh was a beautiful bride and Josh a handsome husband! And no wedding would be complete without some kind of minor disaster.... this time it was Molly throwing up all over her flower girl dress ummmmmm 15 minutes before the wedding! Luckily we cleaned her up and she looked beautiful going down the isle... she was just a little "fragrant"! LOL! Zac did wonderful as one of the ring bearers and Nate was a great "program hander outer"!

The reception was AMAZING, but after being on good behavior for 24 hours..... we decided not to press our luck as little ones were starting to ditch the shoes and the the ties! Twice I barely stopped little fingers from taking a major swipe at the uncut cake! Imagine that! It was a perfect wedding! Thanks Josh and Ash for letting us be a part of it! We look forward to what fun surprises the next 15 years will bring you both!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow (and snow and snow)!

Well we have had 2 rounds of snow! Our first "big" snow was back at the beginning of January, and since I never blogged about that one, I thought I would combine it with today's snow show (have I mentioned Round 3 will be here tomorrow)!

Round I: The first snow of the season was rather substantial by Glenwood, AR, standards... about 6 inches of white powder... perfect for some eager snow dudes! The big boys enjoyed playing on the snowboard that Zac got for Christmas. After some practice runs, both boys got really good. I tried, but fell down every time about 5 feet down the hill. They reminded me numerous times that I could not stand up very long on the snowboard... I tried to explain that I was being cautions because I had so much farther to fall! LOL! Ben loved the sled; and he loved it best when Tim was pulling ONLY him behind the tractor (note - in the photo of Ben and Nate sledding, Ben is throwing a major screaming fit for his brother to get off the sled, I dare not think of what names he was calling his brother)! He DID NOT want his brothers to ride with him! Lots and lots of snow time and snow ice cream too! It was a wonderful first snowfall of the season!

Round II: Well this event occurred last week. Not as much snow as the first round but enough to miss school and to be able to go sledding for 2 days... maybe 3.5 inches! Daddy had to work so we made a snowman and played outside and enjoyed the weather because the temps weren't too bad outside! Again our road was terrible so we were snowbound for several days!

As I write this post we are now getting ready for tomorrow... ROUND 3! Seriously, where do we live??? Colorado??? Crazy Arkansas weather! We could get up to 10 inches of snow tomorrow (Wednesday) and next Tuesday the temps are supposed to be up in the 60s! Snow boots this week and flip flops the next week!
