Another Busy Week...

Tim was gone Tues. through Fri. of LAST week. For someone who is used to having daddy home at 5:30 everyday to help corral kids at dinnertime, bath time and bedtime... these 3 1/2 days seemed very long! It was a very busy week with a year end program for Nate and awards ceremony.



This is how my first day without Tim went. The kids were sleeping and I was cooking snacks for Nate's program/party that night when a huge storm came and we lost electricity. Luckily the boys were sleeping and I was on my last batch of pigs in a blanket! Well the boys woke up and time started passing. Before you know it, it was 4:30 and we still had no electricity! Which for you city folks remember... this means not only no lights or air but no water! I had planned on ironing some clothes for the big production and taking a shower since I hadn't had one yet and I'd taken a long sweaty walk that morning! Well, I had to "bathe" myself and the boys with wipies and pile on some good smelling lotions and put my hair in a ponytail! We made it to Nate's school just in time for the "bottom to fall out," which was appropriate since Nate's program was "Noah's Ark!" Thanks to a couple of really great mom's, I was able to keep Zac occupied and Nate under control! The production was adorable and Nate did fabulous! He knew all of the words and all of the motions... really impressive for a 4 year old (yes, I am his proud mama)!

O.K. now for this week.... we are now in to day two of summer! So far so good. Only 2 more months to go! Well, this post has been sitting on my computer for a week (I had to update it)! So I'm going to post with no pictures and I'll try to write again this week before we leave with our family for Florida! Hugs, KMO

Where does time go?

I can't believe it has been so long since I last posted. It has been a busy couple of weeks! Let's see if I can hit the highlights! One week ago Friday, Jen and Matthew came to Arkansas and my boys were thrilled to see them! It was a busy weekend with a baby shower for my cousin Brooks' wife Sara Beth! We managed to fit in a trip to the park out at DeGray before the Texas crew headed home! By the way... if you didn't know, my cute sis is expecting #2 at the end of October!


Nate had his last T-ball game last week! He was very excited because his Grandma and Grandpa O. and Nana and Papa Doc got to make it to the games to cheer him on! The season was complete with a post game party and a medal! Everyone got one but we told Nate his was for the "most valuable player!" A little ego stoking never hurt anyone!

Last week was very crazy. I had a deadline for work that I had to meet so both sets of grandparents came down and pitched in watching the boys and taking care of things while I holed up in a room upstairs and worked. I could not have done it without them or Tim! In the middle of everything Zac was pretty sick last week with 103 fever for 6 days! After a second trip to the doctor and antibiotics he is back to his healthy active self! As you can see... you can't keep these boys down for long!



Tim is doing great. He will be gone most of this week to "fire school" for training! I'm doing good too... just getting bigger with every passing day. This is going to be one long hot summer! Well I shall close for now. Luckily my work is turned in so this week should be back to normal... whatever that means! Hugs to all.

Zac's first camping trip!

Well, last weekend was Zac's first camping trip (and baby O's too). Tim & the boys "set up camp" across the street from our house in a wooded area along a creek, this area has been named "the special place". We had two tents, Tim's 2-man tent for he and Nate and a 3-man tent for me and Zac. Luckily, the tent was big enough to set up Zac's pack-n-play since he's always slept in a baby bed. The boys cooked smores over the campfire and threw rocks in the creek. After reading books and telling stories it was time for bed. Little Zac did fabulous! He went right to sleep and slept through the night and of course Nate is an old pro and did excellent too! I think the only person who did not sleep great was me! I was so worried that Zac was going to get cold (in the 40s) that night and being 20 weeks pregnant I had to go potty more than the other campers! We had a wonderful time and I'm sure will do it again soon. I look forward to all of our future camping and backpacking trips! Well that is all for now!
