Fun Week and Great Father's Day!

This week was a busy week for us. Nate attended his first bible school ever at our church and LOVED it! The theme for the week was centered around a "round-up" and cowboys and cowgirls. Every night when it was over Nate would ask if he could go back. For those of you who haven't spend a lot of time around Nate, he is my little thinker and is very inquisitive. On Thursday night after bible school we were sitting at our island and he was eating an apple and we started talking about heaven. He had some really good questions and is very fascinated with this subject as well as death. We had a wonderful talk, it made me realize I'm going to have to brush up on my bible knowledge sooner than I thought! Anyway earlier that day, I had said one of those forbidden words "stupid". That is a "no no" in our house and I was talking to my mom and I said "it was a stupid idea that I had"... well little ears over there heard and was the first to point out what I had said. So that night he asked me if God still loved me even though I said the word "stupid"! Which he had to repeat and remind me of 4 more times before I could explain that God probably didn't like it but he still loved me, just like I don't always like the things that Nate does or the way he acts ... but that I will always love him. The sweetest part was that night during his prayer he asked Jesus to come in his heart... I know he is to young to actually know what he is praying but it touched my heart to know he is on the right path. Anyway, that is probably more than any of you wanted to know, but I thought this was a good place to make a record of it.

Father's Day was a lot of fun too! The night before, Tim and Nate went to a dirt race track and watched a bunch of loud cars and their redneck drivers go round and round (and yes he did have in earplugs)! Both loved it and enjoyed their time together. The next day we went to church and then after naps the boys went fishing until a thunderstorm ran them off of the river. Zac tried to sing "Happy Fathers Day" to the tune of "Happy Birthday!" it was really cute!

We started swim lessons today and it went great. I'll post more on that later! Hugs, KMO

Crazy Week...

This week has been busy. Tim was gone all week to meetings near Atlanta, GA. We were so excited to have Tim's dad here for a few days (Mon. - Wed.). I'm sure the boys wore him out but they enjoyed having him here. He is so great with them and will stay outside all day without complaining about the heat! What a saint!

Thurs. was pretty uneventful as the boys and I played outside and swam in the kiddie pool. Friday morning we got up and drove to Arkadelphia to spend the weekend because it was cousin Matthew's 3rd birthday! Unfortunately, by Friday afternoon I was in a lot of pain... any of you who remember my last pregnancy can probably guess what it was from... kidney stones! My wonderful doctor, Dr. John, sent me to the hospital where I got a shot that pretty much knocked me out for the next 24 hours and some pain killers. Luckily, Tim returned home late Friday night and got up early on Sat. and drove to Arkadelphia to help with the kiddos during Matthew's birthday.

Today I'm feeling much better. Just a little achy from the pain. Mom is here helping out, I'm hoping by tomorrow I will feel much better until the next round comes! Hopefully that will be weeks away!

Well I will close for now. KMO

VACATION!

To all of those who faithfully check this site... thank you and I apologize for not being consistent on updating it. We spent this last week in Florida with my parents and my sister and her crew. It was so much fun!

The trip began last Sunday with an 8 hour drive to Mandeville, LA (outside of New Orleans). Let's just say that the kids really did do good but Zac was kind of grumpy since he'd woken up at 4:30 that morning! However, an hour of playing at the McDonald's play land at lunch time seemed to rejuvenate their spirits... and I was hoping it would wear them out... of course it didn't! I think our naps that day were about 40 min. long max! After arriving at my Aunt Mary's house (aka Mar Mar) we played outside and ate some wonderful homemade Cajun gumbo and crawfish etoufee! Then dinner was followed by a trip to a park that had these wonderful waterspouts that the boys LOVED to play in (Zac was most interested in the mud puddles laying to the side of the concrete)! That was topped off by a trip to a newly opened Cafe Du Monde for Beignets! The next day, before leaving for Pensacola Beach we went searching for Alligators and saw a couple!

The next day we drove to Pensacola Beach, FL. We had 31/2 days on the beach, full of fun, sun and good food! Luckily we only had one rainy morning, the rest of the days were beautiful! Nate loved the beach... I mean it was like one big sandbox! After a little bit of "testing the water" he really enjoyed playing at the ocean's edge and looking for seashells (or fragments)! Zac liked the sand but wasn't too big on the ocean. All 3 boys (Matthew included) loved the pools at the place we stayed. We spent a lot of time in the pool. The boys woke up early each morning, and after a great breakfast we played on the beach till lunch time and then repeated the routine in the afternoon topped off by a yummy dinner! Nate was not to happy about leaving the beach but was really glad to be home once we got to our house and all of his toys. It was a wonderful week that we enjoyed sharing with our family.

Hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day. Hugs, KMO
