Say What???? We Got Snow!!!!

Totally unexpected, but much awaited, very short-lasting, but very much enjoyed! Snow Day 2012! Yes it was gone by noon but it was the only snow we had this year and boy did we take advantage! Daddy even got to stay home and be the master tractor driver/sled puller!

Keep looking, Nate has the helmet on because he was snowboarding and for some reason, he never took it off!

Let's Play Ball.... Basketball That Is!

This year was Nate's first season to play basketball! They started practicing in September and had their first game in December. He had a great little team of "newbies" and they did great! They not only learned a lot but they rocked! When it was all said and done, I think they finished 2nd or 3rd in the league.

Nate (#21) was a great defensive player and it was fun to watch him become more confident and aggressive as the season went on! Grandma & Grandpa came to watch him play a few times as did Nana & Papa Doc!

(Have to include this pic because this is what B & Z did 90% of the time.... climb and run around! And that look that Tim is giving "what are you doing" is the one he gives me 90% of the time! LOL!)

I can't tell you all the scores from the season but we won more games than we lost! Below are various pics from the season! We came in 3rd in the end of the season Tournament! It was so fun to watch the team improve practice by practice and game by game! Even though baseball has begun, you can still find Nate outside shooting baskets or playing "Make It, Take It" with daddy! I'm going to have to get a camera with a faster shutter speed if Nate continues to play! Most of my pictures from the season are blurry!

A Day of Love!

Valentine's Day 2012 was full of fun, festivities, & love! I love my 4 Valentines and enjoyed celebrating the day with them. They had lots of fun at their Valentines Parties and they all received balloons or goodies at school! I think it turned out to be a pretty spectacular day and I enjoyed going to all of the parties (even if I was so busy I forgot to take many photos)!

First Up... Ben Ben in Mrs. Kelly's Class!

Second... Zachy in Mrs. Evans' Class!

And last but not least... Nate in Mrs. Owens' Class!

Happy New Year 2012!

We rang in the New Year with the Thompkins family at Cyprus! I mean who wouldn't fall in love with these two! Love me some Ben Ben & Charlie Tate!

The past few years we have spent the days near the new year at Cyprus, the very cool cabin/hunt club owned by Will & Kasey! The boys get so excited about getting to hang with Parker & Charlie Tate and to of course HUNT DEER! And Nate, the mighty deer slayer, was able to kill his first and only doe this year! I look forward to this time every year, when we get to hang out and spend time with some very good friends!

Does the following look like trouble or what??? Just imagine New Year's at Cyprus in 12 years! Oh No!

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas...

Jesus is the Reason for the Season. We enjoyed celebrating the entire holiday season, complete with a trip to Santa, lots of parties, a beautiful Christmas tree, Christmas music, and Christmas goodies.

But the best part of the season was the time we spent with family, celebrating our love for each other and the birth of our Savior.

Our first family celebration was with Grandma and Grandpa when they came to Glenwood the week before Christmas. I cooked my first ever turkey and we had grandmas famous dressing as well as lots of other yummy food and Chocolate Pie! We exchanged gifts and enjoyed being together! The kids of course were so excited to get to open some early Christmas gifts!

Next was Christmas at Nana & Papa Docs with the Williams Crew! A few years ago we began celebrating Christmas on the Eve of Christmas Eve and Christmas Eve Day! The following pic is of the kiddos waiting at the top of the stairs before going to open presents. Jen and I used to do this every Christmas morning before we went to see what Santa had brought us! Good memories!

You can only imagine how crazy it is with 5 kids tearing into presents! It is so much fun though!

Nana cooked a wonderful "Christmas Eve" lunch complete with all of our favorites! It was fun just hanging out and watching the kiddos enjoy all of their new toys. I look forward to this day all year long! This year we went to the Christmas Eve Service at First Baptist Church and I enjoyed celebrating our Saviors birth and seeing so many people that I grew up with in my home church. Then we headed home!

Well Santa came, despite the lack of pictures! I think they are on one of the memory cards in Tim's game camera! When I find them, I'll update this post. The boys had a great day. The big surprise was the Wii that Santa brought. Nate was also thrilled to recieve some boots he'd been wanting, Ben got a bike & Zac got a skateboard. They got lots of loot and had a great Christmas! Nana & Papa Doc came up that afternoon to eat with us and spend the afternoon. It was a wonderful, low-key day spent with loved ones! Christmas 2011 Rocked!

Nana & Papa Doc came up that afternoon to eat with us and spend the afternoon. Instead of having a birthday cake for Jesus we had birthday pie this year! Christmas 2011 was a wonderful, low-key day spent with loved ones!
