Mystery Fever...

Much to my dismay that 103 degree fever was due to my sweet Nate having the FLU! So much for that dang flu shot. Let's just hope Tamiflu does what it is supposed to. Bless his heart and pray the rest of us don't come down with it..... Tim with the flu is NOT a pretty sight!

Puddles come in all shapes, sizes, and materials....

There is so much to blog about but so little time. So I'll just talk about puddles for a minute or two! I wish I could figure out how to insert a slideshow into this blog.... oh well, I'll pick out some of my favorite pics that best depict the following. Notice I am taking most of the pics from above the little mud urchins!
Week before last was a rainy week! Let me tell you about Ben's first experience with puddles. First of all, last week after nap one day he was running around in his diaper and a shirt while I was probably checking my email. When I came down stairs I noticed that his diaper was off (he's never taken it off before) and he was riding his Lighting McQueen ride toy back and forth, back and forth. Upon closer inspection, he was going back and forth through a puddle of pee! GREAT! Well, we got that cleaned up, new diaper and pants on and went to pick up our bubbas.

When we got home the boys wanted to put on their water boots and raincoats and play outside. So I thought what the heck! Ben stood with his nose pressed against the glass door yelling loudly because he does not like being left out or should I say "left in"! I was curious to see what he would think about mud puddles, seeing as how he has never played in them. It took all of one minute for him to decide that puddles were a great thing! I am constantly amazed at how much he is like his brothers and how much they all LOVE being outdoors and would choose that any time over being inside. I thankful.... it just creates a lot of EXTRA laundry but it also creates 3 happy and healthy boys!

Tim and I are doing good.... just trying to keep up. Tim is taking on extra dad duties on the weekends and at nights. He and his daddy kept the boys last Fri - Mon. while I did some work in Wynne. It was a total boys weekend! Thanks Grandpa! I'm jogging in a 1/2 marathon next weekend so I've been attempting to do some type of training with usually a long run on Sundays. I've started teaching 2 cheer classes and one private lesson, will start teaching one strength and conditioning class at our gym, and have started a consulting job in Wynne, AR, to be followed by one in Blytheville, AR..... these are my excuses for not being able to remember when my house was last cleaned or when laundry was all folded and put away..... there will be plenty of time for those things when my kids are 20+ .... can't you tell I'm trying to justify! Sorry that I only seem to blog once a month.... oh well, I'm sure this won't surprise anyone! Oh yeah, in the middle of all the chaos, Ben is recovering from a bad ear infection, Zac has a terrible cough (and we just finished antibiotics); and Nate has been running 103 fever off and on for the past 48 hours..... it is always something but we are so grateful our "somethings" are curable and nothing more than an inconvenience and a good case of the grumpies!
