Twas the Night Before School Starts - 2012

Twas the night before school starts and all through the house, not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.  The backpacks were stuffed and packed with care; in hopes that tomorrow would soon be here!   The children  were nestled all snug in their beds while visions of homework and playgrounds danced in their heads.....

Well in reality, Ben had a terrible night's sleep due to a nasty cough and Zac was running a 102 fever but Nate was good!  Well needless to say, the first day of school did not go as planned.  We dropped Nate off at his friend Carson's house and they rode to school together to Nate's new school in AMITY!  The two blondies and I headed to Arkadelphia to visit the doctor!  Ben was given some antibiotics and the "all clear" to go back to school .  Wile poor Zachy had to get a shot and some antibiotics and the "no go" for the first day of school.... lots of tears were shed over this!  Day 2 was much better as everyone attended school!  More on the first day of school in each of my letters to the boys!

Florida 2012 - Surf's Up Dude!

It is that time of year again....FLORIDA TIME..... good food, lots of fun, a bunch of pool time, digging in the sand, crab catching and wave riding!  As always we had a blast!  The weather was really good this year, some sun, some overcast skies, a few rain showers, and temps in the 80s... just think, we had to go to Florida to escape the 108 temps back home!  Mar Mar and Jim met us in Florida again this year for lots of fun.  Uncle Jim is always the coordinator of our crab hunting expeditions and boy did he ever deliver this year... I think they caught 70 sand crabs one night!  We loved spending time with Nana & Papa Doc, Mar Mar & Jim; Jen & Rich and Molly and Matt!  I think it might have been our best beach trip ever... with the exception that Uncle Rich was in a cast... BUMMER... but he was a trooper and still had a good time!  Tim and I commented on the way home how a beach trip is definitely a little easier the older the boys get... that said, my babies are growing to fast!!!  Love our Florida trips and the boys are already talking about next year.... MAKING MEMORIES... that is what it is all about!  I had like 200 pictures so I tried to pic some of my favorites!
