Where to start.... I have no photos for whatever reasons but I wanted to blog about our adventures over the past two weeks!
Two weekends ago, the big boys and Daddy went to William McMillan's cabin in Mount Ida! The spent the weekend with little William hunting squirrels, riding 4 wheelers, wrestling, playing in the mud etc. They had a blast. They got to eat camp food and sleep in a primitive cabin with a big fireplace. The boys look forward to this trip every year with William and Tim. It is hard to believe that in a few years this weekend will include: Nate, Zac, and Ben as well as William's crew: little William, Charlie, and maybe #3!
While the big boys were gone, Ben and I decided to spend the beautiful day at Garvan Gardens. When we were telling Nana and Papa Doc our plans they decided to meet us in Hot Springs for a yummy lunch and then Nana went with us to GG! Ben had so much fun running, climbing on rocks, and exploring! It was a lot of fun and we were glad to share the time with Nana. Next Papa Doc met us at the mall and he and Ben had some boy time while Nana and I shopped!
This last weekend was busy too! On Sat. I spent the afternoon in Hot Springs with my sister! We got to eat a fabulous lunch and spend some time together chatting, laughing and catching up. I sure do love my Jen and I do not know what I would do without her! Thank goodness for the phone since we talk at least 4 times a day!
Sunday....... I RAN ANOTHER HALF MARATHON! Wahooooo! It was a very last minute decision but I thought I might as well since I'm in shape for it and I've avoided it because I was scared of the hills! Anyway, I don't like to be a chicken so I thought to myself, "buck up and do it and enjoy it"! I did! It was a lot of fun and I ran a good part of the race with a childhood friend.... Tizzie Elkins! What a privilege to run a race with someone that you knew as a toddler with pink sponge rollers in her hair... and now she is a grown woman who completed her first 1/2! Go Tiz! My time was about 9:56 minute miles! Not to bad!
After the race I drove to Arkadelphia so that I could spend a couple of hours with Jen, Rich and sweet Molly and Matthew. The boys were in heaven just being able to all run and play together. They are quite a crew when they get together. Ben loved playing with Molly and was facinated by her baby dolls! Well that brings me up to date.... sorry there are no pictures.... I'll do better next time!
