Lordy Lordy look who turned 40!!

Although this happened BEFORE Thanksgiving... I'm just now blogging about it!  I cannot believe I am 40... I am choosing to look at it as 40 years of blessings... and I have been abundantly blessed over the past 40 years with wonderful friends and family!  My wonderful sis-in-law Julie brought me this fabulous cookie cake and we celebrated when we were together and Grandma and Grandpa's house!  My precious friends: Anna, Stephanie, Paige, and Christy took me out to eat for a wonderful birthday celebration (can't believe I didn't get a pic)!

On my actual birthday, Tim took off work and spent the whole day with me doing things I wanted to do!  We went shopping for my birthday gifts, ate a yummy lunch, and went and saw a chick flick.... a perfect day!  He was wonderful... not just on my birthday but every day!  We came home and ate birthday cake with the boys and my parents!  The perfect end to a perfect 40th birthday!  I also received a "Top 40" list from my sis that was a collection of memories she had of us together.  So special!  I'll try to get it scanned and included in this post some day!  Love her so much, she is such a gift to me!  May the next 40 be just as blessed!

Thanksgiving 2013: Lots To Be Thankful For!

Has it really been a year since LAST Thanksgiving? This year has flown by!  The day before Thanksgiving, we were lucky to be able to spend a few hours with the Pitts Crew running around in the woods!  Thanks to CeCe and Pops for letting my crazies invade their property for a few hours.  The boys had a great time while Melissa, Jenny and I had a little time to visit and catch up!

(Jen & Crew missed this pic)

Thanksgiving Day was spent at Nana & Papa Doc's house with all of our family!  This is one of the only times that we are all together each year so it is a day that is greatly anticipated and cherished!  Unfortunately, this year mom was in bed recovering from a Kidney Stone procedure but the rest of us did our best to try to pull off Nana's great Thanksgiving dinner!  We missed Josh and Ash but it was a fabulous day!

The following day we headed to Fort Worth to spend the west of the weekend with the Oosterhous Crew celebrating the remainder of the holiday!  Lots of basketball, ping pong, and football was played!  There was lots of football watching, chatting, and eating that went on!  It was the perfect weekend filled with yummy food!  Only thing missing was Dan and kids!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because we get to spend it with both sets of family!  Happy Give'ins!!
